I started Mizan Group because I have seen too many people close to me get taken advantage of simply for not being tech-savvy: overcharged, talked over, or left more confused than when they called for help. My goal is to keep things fair for clients of every age, help you use, improve, and create whatever you need with your technology, and pass on a few pieces of knowledge along the way that can serve you well into the future. When you call me, you get me, from the first conversation through the last invoice. The person who diagnoses the problem is the person who fixes it.
I hold a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity from George Mason University, and my work history covers IT support, security operations, and infrastructure. I started out running IT and endpoint security for a small business, then worked front-line technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity problems. I later worked as a SOC analyst, triaging SIEM alerts, investigating endpoint and log data, and documenting more than 100 incidents. Most recently I handled account and access provisioning, deployments, and network troubleshooting as part of an enterprise IT team.
Between those roles, I spent close to three years in data center and critical facilities work. I installed servers, racks, and network cabling in large-scale cloud data centers, imaged and configured enterprise hardware, installed and maintained battery and power systems, and securely wiped and decommissioned equipment with full chain-of-custody records. That is where the habits behind my work today come from: documentation, change control, and least-privilege access, applied the same way whether the system is an enterprise data center or a home network.
Mizan Group LLC is a technology services company based in Centreville, Virginia, serving homes and small businesses across Northern Virginia. The company was founded on a simple premise: technology support should be personal, transparent, and handled by someone who is accountable for the outcome, not routed through a call center or a rotating cast of subcontractors.
The name comes from mizan, the Arabic word for scales, and I chose it because it describes the standard I hold every engagement to: balance. You pay for defined work and get exactly that, nothing inflated and nothing shorted. If a job takes less time than quoted, the price comes down. If it takes more, that cost is mine to absorb, because the estimate was fixed before the work began. Mizan is not just the name on the invoice, it is the standard the company is built around.
Every engagement follows the same standards regardless of size: clear scoping before work begins, flat and transparent pricing with no hidden fees, and documentation of what was done and why. Mizan Group carries its own general and professional liability coverage and stands behind its work, so clients are working with a company that has the credentials and the accountability to back it up.
